The ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) is a collegiate athletic conference consisting of 17 member institutions located primarily in the southeastern region of the United States. The conference was founded in 1953 and is headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The ACC sponsors competition in 27 sports, including football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and volleyball, among others. It is considered one of the top Power Five conferences in college athletics, along with the Big Ten, Pac-12, SEC, and the Big 12.

The ACC member institutions include Boston College,University of California-Berkley, Clemson University, Duke University, Florida State University, Georgia Tech, University of Louisville, University of Miami, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, University of Notre Dame, University of Pittsburgh, Southern Methodist University (SMU), Stanford,  Syracuse University, University of Virginia, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), and Wake Forest University.

The ACC is known for its strong basketball programs, with multiple member institutions regularly competing for national championships. The conference has also had success in football, with Clemson winning multiple national championships in recent years.
