Conference USA (C-USA) is a collegiate athletic conference that operates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Division I. It was previously known as the Conference USA (C-USA) until 2013, when it rebranded as the American Athletic Conference (AAC).
History: Conference USA was founded in 1995 as a result of a merger between the Metro Conference and the Great Midwest Conference. The conference has undergone several realignments over the years, with some schools leaving or joining.
